Greenville, North Carolina

To celebrate America Recycles Day and remind residents to recycle all year long, the city of Greenville, NC unofficially changed its name to “Greenerville.” The city partnered with Keep Greenville Beautiful and CVP to educate residents. The campaign featured print ads, an event recycling trailer and other materials reminding residents to recycle. Stickers with the letters “ER” were also placed on municipal vehicles and area signs to make the town name  “GreenERville.”
